Rappstar’s 3rd Annual Ironman Arizona World Bicycle Relief Charity Challenge: Part Deux

Thank you to everyone who has donated so far. As of this writing, we are at just over $16,000 raised for World Bicycle Relief. But we're not done yet. To sweeten the incentive, I have a host of new prizes to give away.

Remember, you can donate ANY amount, but ONLY donations of $134 (the cost of one bicycle) will get you eligible. For every multiple of $134 that you donate, you get another entry. $268 earns you double eligibility, $402 earns triple, $536 quadruple, etc.

To enter, you can donate online at ironman.kintera.org/arizona/rappstar or if you want to snail-mail, you can do that to:
World Bicycle Relief
Attn: Katie Bolling (Rappstar Raffle)
1333 Kingsbury Street
4th floor
Chicago, IL 60642

Prizes will be by selection (you can pick anything that's left if you are chosen) automatically from the donations, so please make sure to give us an email or phone number (or both) that we can reach you at.

Donations must be received by the END OF NOVEMBER to be eligible. Due to the generosity of an anonymous donor, all donations to WBR (both through this fundraiser and in general) will be matched dollar-for-dollar until the end of December. But to keep things timely, we are going to allow until the end of November. This will hopefully allow for more donations post-race; Ironman will be featuring WBR, hence our extension as compared with the previous two years as we want to capitalize on their coverage.

And now onto the new prizes…

Simon Whitfield Race Kit. (MSRP – Priceless)

2000 Olympic gold and 2008 Olympic silver medalist Simon Whitfield has donated an authentic 2011 Team Canada / Whitfield race suit, 2009 ITU World Championships Team Canada vest, and 2008 Olympic Team Canada Bike Jersey. All signed by Simon. These are all one-of-a-kind items used in competition (and then washed!) by one of our sport's greatest champions and all around great guys.

Chris "Macca" McCormack Race Kit. (MSRP – Priceless)

Genuine MaccaX race kit. The same kit three-time world champion Chris wore en route to his second Ironman World Championship title at the 2010 Ironman World Championships in Kona, HI. (Note – not *the* race kit from the race, though.) Used in competition, as evidenced by the leftover safety pin for a bib number. We've left it attached, so careful not to poke yourself! A truly one-of-a-kind prize from our sport's biggest personality and most versatile champion.

Chrissie Wellington Ironman World Championships water bottle. (MSRP – Priceless. Donated by Jonathan Toker / Saltstick)

Retrieved by Jonathan Toker of Saltstick.com from the race course in Kona and approved by Chrissie for this fundraiser, this bottle is one of Chrissie's custom bottles for the Ironman World Championships. Each bottle bears Chrissie's signature and a hyacinth blossom logo, but the really special part is that it is hand lettered with inspirational messages from Chrissie to herself, including her favorite poem, If by Rudyard Kipling. This is truly a one of a kind item (well, five-or-so of a kind; she does use multiple bottles during the race).

Michellie Jones / Giddy Up Multisports Training Camp Prize. (MRSP – $950)

Entry into one of Michellie Jones' outstanding triathlon camps. There are camps for beginners, women-only, and a great winter camp for all comers in San Diego. A fantastic experience for any athlete from beginner to seasoned veteran.

Our goal is to provide a fun, friendly informative environment where you can ask all those question you may have been afraid to ask or you just wish you knew the answers.

Speedplay prize pack: set of stainless Zero pedals, a Speedplay hat or beanie, t-shirt, and socks

The performance features of the Speedplay Zero Pedal System read like a pro racer’s wish list. No other pedal system comes close to offering the superior adjustability or cutting-edge performance features of the Zero. By thinking "outside the box", we created and patented the most technically advanced pedal system ever, featuring your choice of either a fixed position or up to 15 degrees of micro-adjustable float. Once you compare the features of Zero pedals to any other brand, you'll find that other pedals systems are no match.

(Upgradeable to titanium spindle at user's expense; user pays only price differential for upgrade.)

David McColm large-format print. (MSRP – Priceless)

Whistler-based photographer David McColm writes on his site, "Again this year, I will continue to photograph Whistler's stunning landscapes, it's unique and amazing people as well as many of it's outstanding events. I know how fortunate I am to live in and be surrounded by such a limitless wealth of photographic opportunities, so you will notice that my photography is very much Whistler-oriented. At the same time, I also enjoy "getting out" and experiencing other people, places and events. One sport that I love to photograph (and, all too infrequently, DO!) are triathlons. Accordingly, I will continue to photograph a number of triathlons away from Whistler including Ironman Canada as well as the "original" Ironman – the World Championship in Kona.

A special chance to own a large-format print of a picture from McColm's stunning collection of sports and nature photographs.
