Boulder’s BOOM Yogurt Bar
Boulder has many well known hangouts for triathletes seeking sustenance and camaraderie. Among the favorites are Amante and Vic’s for coffee, Walnut Café for nutritious breakfasts and lunches, and the Walnut Brewery for beer and ale. Since it opened last September, Matt and Kelly Reed’s BOOM Yogurt Bar [name inspired of course by Matty Boom Boom Reed] on 30th Street has attracted a strong triathlon clientele including Mirinda Carfrae and Tim O’Donnell, Michael and Amanda Lovato, Julie Dibens, Richie Cunningham, Jasmine Oeinck, Billy Edwards, James Hadley, Joanna Zeiger, Flora Duffy, and Hall of Fame runner Colleen De Reuck.
The draw is not only the yogurt and the healthy, tasty toppings. But thanks to Kelly Reed, mother of three children and wrangler of several dogs as well as her Olympian husband, it is also a very kid friendly, community oriented gathering place for the endurance sports crowd.

Many classes are using the BOOM ROOM, which is free to reserve, on a regular basis. Here Miss Ashley leads a Young Rembrandts cartoon drawing class.
Kids love the craft table, and the parents appreciate entertainment for the kids.
