Interbike 2012 – day 3
The first inside day of the 2012 Interbike seemed to be dominated by bike fitting and power measuring conversations, but clearly there was much more going on than that.
The recent news of Specialized acquiring Retul was followed up today with the announcement that Dorel (Cannondale's parent company) purchased the Guru dynamic bike fitting system and will make it soon available to its dealers as well as to dealers not part of its IBD chain. This system uses the F.I.S.T. protocol that Slowtwitchers are pretty familiar with.
Meanwhile a few steps away bike fits in the CycloLogic booth took place under the careful guidance of Paraic McGlynn.
But as we said before, that is not all we saw.

Angela Naeth was kind enough to show us the Pearl Izumi Elite in-R-cool LTD Tri singlet while she was visiting her sponsors.
Angela was sporting the Pearl Izumi e-motion Tri N1 shoes and also a few of her scars from her recent crash.
Kevin Taddonio was being fit in the CycloLogic booth by Paraic McGlynn.
The very focused Paraic in action here.
Brian Mansker of T1 Pro race belt with one of his creations. We also found out that all sponsored Pros like Meredith Kessler give their magnetic closure belts after each race to an age grouper.
Chrissie Wellington was signing autographs in the XLab booth today, and she was very popular.
This water cooled CygoLite Superflood 12,000 Lumen light is only a prototype, but it is cool just the same, but certainly not cool to the touch.
Pioneer is now in the pedaling monitoring sensor business. The SGY-PM900 weighs about 70 grams and measures power and pedaling efficiency, the zip ties though look not very Pro.
We bumped into Terenzo Bozzone at Interbike.
Clif now has Shot Bloks in a Chocolate Cherry flavor, and what is not to like there.
Lisa Novak of Clif with one of the Kit's Organic fruit and nut bars – a Gluten, Soy and Dairy Free product.
StageOne launched their new affordable power meter at Interbike and we will have a closer look at it soon.
Dan Empfield was giving several seminars about bike fit in the Guru booth and these seminars were very popular.
A closer look at Guru's dynamic fit bike.
Alistair Brownlee wore a blueseventy Helix suit with these graphics in the Olympic Games.
Seth Beiden was not the only person in the Poc booth to have fun with their aero helmet.
TJ Tollakson with the Dimond bike that is now available as a custom order.
The new Armored Henhouse by Rüster has side impact protection and wheels.
Chris Clinton who recently left Bontrager did his best in the Louis Garneau booth to show his best Thomas Voeckler face.
You may not be as fast as Wiggins, but you too can own a yellow Pinarello Dogma.
