2012 Ultraman Day 2

The second day of the Ultraman World Championships means endless hours in the saddle with that 171.4 mile bike segment, but of course it all takes place in a very stunning surrounding.

An early morning start in slightly cooler temperatures.

Alexandre Ribeiro led after day 1 and quickly took charge on day 2.

Miro Kregar was the toughest challenger for the 5-time champion Ribeiro.

The scenery is truly stunning here.

Defending champion Amber Monforte pulled into the lead on day 2 with an excellent effort on the bike.

It isn't just about competition here.

Nino Cokan had a very solid day 2.

Kathy Winkler had the lead after day one, but gave up quite a bit of time to Amber Monforte on the second day.
