What We Have Noticed: Engadin SwimRun …

This week we noticed the unique Engadin SwimRun event, the Chasing the Ghost movie, the 33-26 Charity: Water ride and stunning quadcopter acrobatics.

Engadin SwimRun

What: Based on the ÖTILLÖ swim run event in Sweden, there will now be a Swiss version of this race where teams of two run and swim along a well marked race course. 100 teams will be allowed to experience this unique format where swimming in running shoes is quite common and considered practical and tactically smart. The running will be quite tough with just under 7,000 feet (2,100 meters) of elevation gain and the views should be absolutely stunning. Here is hoping you have still space on that bucket list.
Date: June 12, 2014
Distance: 40km trail running and 6.5k open water swimming

Chasing The Ghost

What: Chasing The Ghost is a short film by Craig Bingham about Team Allied’s Race Across America effort. Two teams from the USA and GB came together to tackle this challenging event as a platform to raise awareness and funding for Help for Heroes and Wounded Warriors. They crossed in a record 5 days 3 hours and 43 minutes, but more importantly they inspired. The film is beautifully done and 30 minutes well worth spent. It is also not too late support Help for Heroes and Wounded Warriors.

33-26 Ride For Charity: Water

What: Ten riders including Caroline Steffen will ride from Bondi Beach, NSW to Noosa Main Beach, QLD in Australia to raise $100,000 for charity: water. Most of us don’t even think about water, that is just something that comes from a tap, and is handed to us in clean water bottles by volunteers at most events. But in other parts of the world people are not as lucky, and thus the effort to raise money for charity: water. As we speak they have collected $35.561 but we can all help the 33-26 Ride time to get to that end goal.
