We Noticed: Taste of Boa
Last year we noticed the Boa Closure System crew in the Kona expo replacing consumer shoe laces with their system, and it now appears that this was not a one time event. At the recent Outdoor Retailer show they set up a Taste of Boa shop and allowed show visitors to have their standard laces replaced with the Boa Closure System – aircraft-grade stainless-steel laces with a low-profile dial. You may be familiar with the Boa system from a variety of cycling shoes including but not limited to Specialized and you can now experience it on your running or hiking shoes. The next Taste of Boa is rumored to be at Ironman Arizona – and this service is FREE.
“We’ve believed since we started in 2001 that, once people try Boa, they love Boa,” says Boa Technology Marketing Director Garett Graubins. “This retro-fit project is designed to give people a ‘taste of Boa’ so that they can learn first-hand what tens of millions of people worldwide know already – that Boa is better.”
Last year the Boa Closure System crew feverishly worked up a sweat replacing shoe laces with their retro-fit wired system.
This was the setup of Boa inside the Outdoor Retailer show.
There is a variety of color choices the customer can pick from.
Not surprisingly there were many hiking shoes to be redone at Outdoor retailer. Comfortable shoes to walk all day to peruse the aisles during the show. In Arizona they will likely mostly see running shoes.
