Ironman Chattanooga bike count
Around 2,700 starters participated in the inaugural Little Debbie Ironman Chattanooga and here is an unofficial bike count of the bikes that entered transition, courtesy of Quintana Roo.
Steve Dunn of Quintana Roo with the assistance of long time slowtwitcher Cathy Morgan sat at the entrance of the bike check-in and they counted bikes from 10am to 3pm. In order for it to be managed they focused on the top 11 brands from Kona last year. With tons of local folks and first timers entered in this new race, we noticed that there were many road bikes going into transition, so that has an impact on the bike numbers for sure. But here we go.
