We Noticed: SwimSpray…

This week we noticed the chlorine fighting SwimSpray, the Sansego coaching site and videos with Craig Alexander, the Lazer Wasp Air short tailed aero helmet, the Spring Chicken book by Bill Gifford, a cool bronze Beer Peen Hammer and more.

SwimSpray

Every time when I go to the pool I dread the annoying after swim chlorine itch, and the chlorine scent also seems to stick around no matter what soap or lotion I use. SwimSpray is tackling this issue with their chlorine removal spray and promises to safely eliminate chlorine odor and irritation from the hair and skin. I have heard good things about it and today ordered a couple of them to actually test it, but it can only improve and not be worse. I actually do not hate swimming, I just hate the darn chlorine itch.

Sansego training series

Craig Crowie Alexander needs no introduction, but you may not know what Sansego is. Passionate triathlon fans likely noticed the Sansego on the kits of Craig Alexander and Paul Matthews during the 2014 GoPro Ironman World Championships and wondered who that sponsor is. Sansego is actually the new coaching platform of the 3-time Ironman World Champion and on it he offers coaching, training videos and more with the help of a team of trusted coaches. On the site (link above in the header) you can sample some of the training videos and learn more what Sansego has to offer.

Lazer Wasp Air

Shorter TT helmets are getting increasingly popular and the new Lazer Wasp Air falls into that category. The Lotto-Belisol team has been seen racing on it late last year and the Optum Pro Cycling Team will also use these helmets during the TT stages this year. Among triathletes Lazer is not a very common helmet brand, especially in North America, but there really is no good reason for that. Other than maybe that some other brands are pushing the marketing button more. As a brand Lazer has several interesting road helmets in their product line and they including some innovative stuff like helmet locks etc. The Lazer Wasp Air retails for $299.99 and is fairly readily available.

Bill Gifford's Spring Chicken book

We try to obtain the newest gadgets faster than they appear, and some folks also trade in their spouses for a newer model, but we are still getting older, no matter how young and immature we may dress and act like. There are all kinds of charlatans out there who would like to sell you the magic formula to stay younger, but if it sounds too good to be true, it likely is. Bill Gifford now offers a well researched 384 page book that tackles the very old puzzle of what can actually be done to live longer. I certainly now expect to live to be at least 100, but will you die trying to live longer?

Beer Peen hammer

It is a carbon, carbon bicycle world indeed, and you can now get virtually anything else in carbon ranging from chairs to phone covers. But it is nice sometimes to hold different materials in your hands, and that is true for this beautiful bronze Beer Peen Hammer. What hammer do you currently use to hang up your next Ironman finisher certificate? Please do not tell me that you have a carbon one for that task too. If so, show it to me and I'll use this Handeye Supply Beer Peen one to work it over. jk.
