We Noticed: BopWorx protection
No matter how expensive or affordable the bike, no owner wants to see their beloved ride damaged in transit or otherwise, and that is where BopWorx comes in. Paul McGriskin searched for a solution after his family's bikes kept getting damaged during transport in the back of a car, in a bike box, or while in storage. But there was nothing available that suited his needs, so he stepped up to the plate, put on his inventor's hat, and created BopWorx – a series of protective gadgets for bicycles. The BopWorx crew is currently running a Kickstarter campaign to make this product line a reality.
Many cyclists and triathletes carry their race bikes in the back of their hatchback, station wagon or truck when driving to a race or a training ride, and with other gear floating around in the vehicle it is possible to arrive at the race or ride with some damage. I personally travel like this at times and so I pledged some money to get the BopWorx rear derailleur guard and the fork protection. I predict that you, too, will see the benefit of some of the items the new brand plans to offer.
The rear derailleur guard is my favorite offering from the BopWorx crew. It is held in place by the rear skewer and creates a nice blanket around that expensive bike part.
The BikeBumper is designed for when you carry several bikes or store several in close proximity. It basically helps your bike to get some breathing room.
The Fork Guard protects your bike and your car or floor. Put it on when you transport your bike in a box or car, or even just when you store the bike.
The Fork Stand works together with the the Fork Guard and creates a bike stand of sorts.
There are a few other offerings from the brand, and you can see those on the Kickstarter link, with a few videos that explain the system.
