Ironman 70.3 Lanzarote images
The 2015 Ironman 70.3 Lanzarote was won by Eneko Llanos and Jodie Swallow, and here are images from that event courtesy of Ingo Kutsche.
After a fine 23:44 swim, Evert Scheltinga was hard on the throttle early in the bike segment in Lanzarote.
Romain Guillaume's 2:22:31 bike split set him up for a good day.
Swiss Mike Aigroz did not have the day he wanted but nonetheless finished 9th.
French pro Antony Costes was solid all day and rode 2:23:57 on the way to third place.
Seasoned pro Eneko Llanos had a great day and he rode 2:23:38 on the challenging course.
Ricardo Hernandez Marrero was first out of the water in 23:38.
2:29:36 Evert Scheltinga's bike split, but he did not finish the event.
Relatively new pro Robin Schneider on the way to 14th place in the pro ranks.
Austrian pro Andreas Giglmayer did not go sub 2:30 on the bike, but he ran 1:15:49 to finish 6th.
Jeanne Collonge rode a very strong 2:40:17, but ahead of her Jodie Swallow rode a race best 2:39:44. An even bigger gap came from the swim, where Swallow bested the French pro by more than 5 minutes.
Romain Guillaume ran 1:17:14 and that was good enough for the runner-up spot and a total time of 4:06:42.
Running along the coast of Lanzarote but sadly no time to enjoy the view.
Local favorite Victor Del Corral started the run after a solid swim and bike but ended up not finishing.
German pro Anna Kusch on the way to 6th place in the women's race.
On this day in Lanzarote Jodie Swallow was untouchable.
Jeanne Collonge raced hard but had to settle for the runner-up spot 12 minutes behind the champion.
