Lynskey returns with a tri bike

Lynskey Performance out of Chattanooga, TN is known for their unique titanium crafting prowess, and they showed up at Interbike in Las Vegas with a late stage prototype triathlon bike, the TSL 3.1. Some small details such as the seat collar and seat post still have to be ironed out according to director of sales Randy Finnell, but the frame is just about dialed in, and fabricated in the USA of course.

The geometry of the Lynskey TSL 3.1 is based on F.I.S.T. principles, and the frame was kept simple. The prototype shown at Interbike got a lot of attention as we tried to take pictures.

The Lynskey welds are clean and strong, and the new TSL 3.1 is ready for Shimano Di2. The top tube is flat, and bento box mounts can be added.

Very nice attention to detail on this adjustable rear-entry dropout. With bigger tires becoming more popular, Lynskey Performance wanted to allow the user to keep the tire close to the seat tube.

Most of the logos are etched into the frame, but the name of frame master David Lynskey is still applied with a sticker.

The head tube badge is the only color highlight on this very subtle frame.

The fork and brakes are left up to the consumer, and this is where the Lynskey crew could have done better at Interbike.

The bike was set up with 25mm Kenda tires, and then adjusted close enough but not too close.

Outside in the lobby at Interbike, Lynskey Performance had this show stopper that was designed to show off the capabilities of the brand.

MSRP for the TSL 3.1 frame and seat post is $2,500 and the weight is 3.75 lbs.

As mentioned earlier, Lynskey also has a T230 offering with standard 27.2mm seat post, and that frame has an MSRP of $1,800.
