IM Kona 2015 – women bike pics

Here now is the female bike gallery from the 2015 GoPro Ironman World Championships and it is a perfect perspective to see positions, gear and much more. We featured the men yesterday and now you get to peruse and study this gallery.

Daniela Ryf was flying on the bike and her 4:50:46 effort was the best in class. Ryf however was great in every segment.

Jodie Swallow led the women out of the water and rode 4:58:48 but she ended up not finishing.

Swiss Caroline Steffen was well positioned early on during the bike but in the end she had a 5:10:43 bike split.

Mary Beth Ellis was near the front of the bike all day and rode 4:59:29.

Annabel Luxford was also in good position after the swim and rode in that front pack to a 5:04:00.

A 4:59:17 bike effort helped Camilla Pedersen to capture 8th place.

Michelle Vesterby had a great day and finished 4th. Her bike time was 5:00:41.

Leanda Cave apparently crashed early and did not finish the bike segment.

A zipper delay in transition caused Rachel Joyce to miss the front group, and that meant riding most day alone. Her bike split ended up to be 5:01:29.

Kiwi Gina Crawford swam 56:18 but then rode only 5:21:52 and then dropped out.

Meredith Kessler also had many eyes on her but it did not work out.

Fellow American Dede Griesbauer rode 5:11:08 but then struggled during the run.

Brit Susie Cheetham rode 5:14:33 on the way to 6th place.

German Julia Gajer was among the favorites in Kona but dropped out during the bike segment.

Haley Chura did not have the swim she expected and never finished the ride either.

American Laurel Wassner rode 5:36:59 and ended up in 10:33:49.

Canadian Angela Naeth had a very fine 4:54:54 bike time but did not finish.

After a 1:01:16 swim split American Caitlin Snow rode 5:28:06 in Kona and then missed going sub-10 hours by 16 seconds.

American Kelly Willamson started her day with a 59:54 swim and then rode 5:35:52.

American Heather Jackson finished 5th overall with a great 5:04:43 bike split and a 3:07:53 run.

Liz Lyles rode 5:16:12 and finished in 9:35:07 in that important race.

Shiao-Yu Li from Taiwan swam 1:16:26, biked 5:25:41 and ran 3:24:08.

Brit Lucy Gossage rode 5:02:40 on the way to a 9:28:36 and 10th place overall.

After a 5:14:59 bike split German Diana Riesler did not finish the race in Kona.

German Mareen Hufe rode sub-5 hours in Kona but then ran 3:55:52.

Defending champion Mirinda Carfrae had back issues and ended up climbing in a neutral support vehicle and early ended her day.

Belgian Time Deckers also did not finish the bike segment in Kona.

Asa Lundstrom in Swedish colors rode 5:04:37 and finished in 9:30:43
