The [Road] Show must go on
Every Slowtwitch Road Show is different. Except most have beer. This week there's beer, and discounts, and demos, and food and usually a run or a bike ride to kick things off in Tempe AZ, Portland ME, Tampa FL and Canton MI. (Keep track of Road Show progress on its Facebook page and Road Show web home.)
The front man for Slowtwitch Coaching, and one of two master F.I.S.T. instructors, Ian Murray will headline Slowtwitch's involvement at the Fraser Bicycle show in Michigan.
Karen Sing, aka Slowtwitch Concierge, will be mistress of ceremonies at Outspokin in Tampa, while Wild Man Lars Finanger represents us in Maine, at a show where both Fleet Feet Maine Running and Cyclemania are joining forces for one show. (Lars is also a prime mover in the upcoming Casco Bay Swimrun.)
Slowtwitch publisher Dan Empfield will do quick-fits and complete bike prescriptions by appointment at Landis Cyclery in Phoenix.
The fit bike pictured above will be pulled out of the F.I.S.T. workshop, loaded into the back of Empfield's truck, to be unloaded at Landis for the Road Show.
These appointments did not last long for the show last weekend at Inside Out Sports. Each appointment consists of a very quick positioning according to Empfield's best analysis (a quickie process taking minutes, not hours). Then, the resulting fit coordinates are ported into a calculator that produces complete bike solutions.
Trek's Speed Concept (usually a Project One process) is the focus of this activation. Trek will also be on-hand, giving a special discount for any Speed Concept purchases made on the day.
