Salthouse led the swim by 49 seconds, the bike by 2:28 and held off a race-best 1:25:18 run by Svenja Thoes of France to finish in 5:10:01 with a 2:46 margin on Thoes and 3:40 over third place Emma Bilham of Great Britain.

Mignon combined a 2nd-fastest 24:21 swim, 4th best 2:08:57 bike split and third-best 1:16:44 half marathon to finish in 4:22:56 with a 1:43 margin over Michele Sarzilla of Italy and 2:57 over third place Cameron Wurf of Australia. Most notable single performances were Wurf’s 2:00:27 bike split – 5:35 better than the next best ride by Jon Saeveras Breivold of Norway – and the race-best 1:11:21 run by Michele Sarzilla of Italy.
