Kona 09 Monday

While quite a few triathletes are already in Kona, the next two days are the days when most of them arrive.

For most folks once they see one of these planes they know that they are close.

The Kona airport is quite unique.

Lots of bikes arrived and that surely makes these athletes happy.

Sister Madonna Buder got her bike as well.

Coming in from the airport around 3pm there were quite a few folks out there riding their bikes already.

Surely this place will be very busy the next few days.

Not everything is about triathlon this week.

This year K-Swiss moved across the road

Starting tomorrow this area will be filled with folks.

Tom Ziebart bought a cool bike a couple years back here in Kona and now no longer has to look for a ride when he arrives.

Later in the day there are still some folks swimming, but many people mostly play around.

Sergio Marques arrived direct from Europe only yesterday and looks forward to a less troubled Kona event.
