What We Have Noticed: Gaerne, Gyst, Kenk and Squeezy
We noticed new triathlon shoes from Gaerne, a new bag concept from Gyst, the recently released book about the life and times of Igor Kenk and a tomato flavored energy gel from Squeezy. Good times.
Gaerne G.Kona
What: Thanks to the speedy Belgian age grouper Pieter De Neve we came across these new triathlon cycling shoes from Gaerne. With the G.Kona being the first foray into the triathlon world for Gaerne, we expect to take a closer look at them at the upcoming Eurobike tradeshow in Friedrichshafen, Germany.
Available: 2011
MSRP: €180

Gyst Concept messenger bag
What: The idea behind all Gyst Concept bags is that in addition to hauling gear in their water repellent pockets, they allow you to get changed on a clean mat that is part of the bag.
Color: Tan/Black
MSRP: $93

Kenk – A Graphic Portrait
What: If the name Kenk sounds somewhat familiar, that makes a lot of sense if you are passionate about bicycles. Igor Kenk, who became known as “the world’s most prolific bicycle thief,” (The New York Times and The Guardian) had nearly 3,000 bikes in his possession when he was arrested 2 years ago. Kenk (the book) is described as a “304-page journalistic comic book detailing the life and times of Igor Kenk” and was written by Richard Poplak.
MSRP: $49.99

Squeezy Tomato
What: We are all well aware that you can have energy gels in a variety of flavors and some of them find us better than others. When you are racing at some European events you may encounter Squeezy gels at the aid stations and should you grab one of the Tomato flavored ones, you might as well ask for the fries to go with it.
Flavors: Tomato featured but several other flavors are available
MSRP: Pack of 4 (25 grams each) €4,95
