A few days ago rookie Pro Beth Walsh from Southern California grabbed the title at the 2012 Superfrog Triathlon, but while she certainly enjoyed the win, it wasn’t the highlight of her season. We had a few words with Beth.
Chris Boardman is well known for his Tour de France prologue wins and the Hour record, but he retired relatively young. He is smart and outspoken when it comes to cycling technology and is passionate about triathlon.
Maxim Kriat had to hold off a hard charging Nick Waninger to win Ironman 70.3 Augusta. Melissa Hauschildt pulled away from defending champion Emma-Kate Lidbury during the run to grab the women’s title.
Jesse Thomas showed supremacy on the bike before closing it out with a fine run to take the win at the Ironman 70.3 Pocono Mountains. Tenille Hoogland took the women’s title with a similar effort.
A race best bike split of 53:38 helped Cameron Dye to grab the win at the 2012 Herbalife LA Triathlon. Alicia Kaye also dominated the bike segment with a 58:26 effort and then ran to the title in the women’s race.
While in Las Vegas we took a closer look at the Cannondale SuperX Disc race bike of American Tim Johnson of the Cannondale / Cyclocrossworld.com team.
Joao Silva from Portugal ran away from Spaniard Javier Gomez late in the race to take the win at the 2012 ITU Yokohama WTS race. Dmitry Polyanskiy from Russia finished third in what proved to be a thrilling finale.
