We are now just about a week away from the 2011 Ford Ironman World Championships and here is a look at the Pro start list. But like every year we won’t really find out who will show up until race day.

Hunter Kemper recorded his 7th USAT Elite National title today with a win at the 2011 Buffalo ITU Pan American Cup in Buffalo, NY. For defending women’s champion Laura Bennett it was the third title.

This week we noticed the Trix Gear race bike cover, Crank Brothers Pica tool, Honey Stinger Strawberry Waffle, The Jersey Project book and a small robot named Evolta.
European 70.3 Champion Andreas Böcherer took the win in Cancun with a hard charge on the bike and a nice closing run. Aussie Christie Sym had taken 70.3 Racine 2 months ago and now ruled again in Cancun.
Bart Aernouts from Belgium took the win at Ironman 70.3 Syracuse in a very speedy 3:57:30. In the women’s race Nikki Butterfield held off Caroline Steffen with a race best bike and fast run.
The second day at the 2011 Interbike show is behind us and we perused the aisles all day to find a few goodies, meet interesting folks and be social.
