Conrad Stoltz won the 2010 XTERRA World Championships in Maui, Hawaii and became the first person to win this event 4 times. Shonny Vanlandingham grabbed her first XTERRA Worlds title there, quite an impressive feat at age 41.

South African Raynard Tissink finished 5th in Kona and has finished twice in the top ten before, but this year’s effort was his best result at the Ionman World Championships. We also learned that Raynard has skills beyond his athletic prowess.

We now feature the top 15 overall females during the run at the 2010 Ford Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii. Fastest time belonged to Aussie race winner Mirinda Carfrae who ran a fantastic 2:52:32, a time only very few men managed to beat.

South African James Cunnama ran down Estonian Marko Albert to win the 2010 Ironman 70.3 Austin event. Swiss ITU star Nicola Spririg led from start to finish in the women’s race and displayed a dominating performance.
Like every year we present the top 15 athletes overall during the run and talk about their running shoes. Fastest run among the men this year belonged to Aussie Pete Jacobs who managed a marathon time of 2:41:06 and finished in 9th place overall.
It is not surprising to see Charlotte Paul in Kona during the Ironman World Championship week, but the Aussie is 5 months pregnant at this time and has other priorities in her life. That though doesn’t mean she can’t enjoy Kona in October.
