We wandered over to the pier this morning where it is getting quite busy now.
Many eyes are currently on Mirinda Carfrae with the 2010 Ford Ironman World Championships approaching rapidly. The 2009 runner-up is no longer a rookie and thus more dangerous than before. She had a few words with us.
Bevan Docherty and Lisa Norden grabbed the wins at the 2010 Kaiser Permanente LA Triathlon and we have a gallery courtesy of Eric Wynn.
Bevan Docherty sat out the ITU World Championship finals in Budapest Hungry but showed with his win at the 2010 LA Triathlon that he hasn’t lost a step. Lisa Norden used a dominating bike split to grab the women’s title.
This week we stumbled across the Tough Mudder event, the very fine Honey Stinger Waffle, the Kona Demo Days, the Iron Blazeman song and a concert in Kona.
With several Ironman wins under his belt Luke McKenzie is looking to step up a few spots in Kona this year from his 15th place in 2009. The Aussie has been in Kona for about a week now and has settled in nicely.
Maksym Kriat ran down Marko Albert, David Kahn and a struggling Andrew Yoder on his way to win the ESi Ironman 70.3 Augusta in 3:46:54. Jessica Meyers topped Magali Tisseyre and Desiree Ficker to take the win in the women’s race.
Conrad Stoltz and Melanie McQuaid crossed the line first at the XTERRA USA National Championships in Ogden, Utah; but Josiah Middaugh and Shonny Vanlandingham were crowned as the new US XTERRA Champs.
Another day at Interbike 2010 has passed and we captured quite a few interesting goodies today. So enjoy.
The last full day of our Interbike coverage is over as tomorrow the show will slow down quite a bit and many folks will leave Las Vegas. Meanwhile here are a few more pictures from the second day inside of the 2010 Interbike.
The 2010 Interbike Show inside the Sands Convention Center opened its doors today and we snapped a bunch of images there.
After a couple days of hot and windy conditions in Boulder City, the exhibitors and trade visitors got to enjoy the first day inside the 2010 Interbike show.
