A few weeks back we chatted with Kiwi Bevan James Eyles of IMtalk, and now we had a few words with coach John Newsom. IMtalk co-host Newsom is actually quite a good athlete with a sub-9 Challenge Roth finish in his resume.
Tony Kornheiser of ESPN recently made some statements which had cyclists extremely upset and asking for the “head” of Kornheiser. After Lance Armstrong appeared on the Kornheiser radio show, the man apologized, but sports writer Sal Ruibal does not accept the apology.
Craig Alexander won the 2010 Aviva Ironman 70.3 Singapore and thus successfully defended his title at that hot and humid event. Switzerland’s Caroline Steffen grabbed the women’s title while defending champion Jodie Swallow had to be content with the runner-up spot.
More recently we noticed the GU Jet Blackberry gel, Bont sub-10 tri shoes, Look Keo Carbon Blade pedals, 2010 Dextro Energy ITU series and a Walz cycling cap.
Matt Chrabot won the 2010 Miami International Triathlon in a time of 1:46:29 and beat a pretty stellar field that included Chris Lieto, Matty Reed and Bevan Docherty. The women’s title was captured by Sarah Haskins.
A beautiful day greeted the starters of the 2010 Abu Dhabi Triathlon. Eneko Llanos and Julie Dibens were the winners.
Eneko Llanos won the inaugural Abu Dhabi International Triathlon in a time of 6:34:37 and along the way defeated a stellar field. Julie Dibens grabbed the women’s title despite having to deal with a flat tire.

Cameron Brown won the 2010 Bonita Ironman New Zealand in 8:21:52 and that gave him a record ninth title in NZ, a feat previously not done by any other athlete before. Joanna Lawn captured her 7th title in a course record time of 9:14:35.
