by Herbert Krabel, September 21, 2017While in Chattanooga for the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championships we stumbled upon this distinctive black and gold Pinarello Bolide and took a closer look.
21-year old German Patrick Reger was the top age grouper at the 2017 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championships in Chattanooga in 4:07:21 and we had a chat with him.
Ricky Flynn won his age group at the 2017 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championships and his 1:11:19 run was only bested by Javier Gomez.
Bryan Dunn had high aspirations for the 2017 IM 70.3 Worlds but his race did not go well. He however is passionately talking about the race and a couple volunteers who helped him out in a big pickle.
Despite the tough undulating run course in Chattanooga we saw some very fast running times and very captivating battles for the podium. Here now are pics from the men on the run.
Ben Kanute put down the hammer on the difficult Chattanooga bike course with a 2:08:10 split, but the fastest split went to Sebastian Kienle who rode 2:07:45. Kanute however finished second to Spain’s Javier Gomez who rode 2:12:27 on the way to a 3:49:44 overall time. Kienle struggled during the run and ended up 5th.
The course in Chattanooga was challenging and World Championship worthy and here now are images from the day where only women competed.

High winds and rain made for very tough conditions for the 148 starting teams at the 2017 ÖTILLÖ but a course record was broken anyhow.

Oscar Olsson finished second at the 2016 ÖTILLÖ World Championships with Paul Krochak, and wants to be on the very top this year with new partner Martin Flinta. The well liked and entertaining Swede is competing often in triathlon but at this time of the year it is all about Swimrun.
