French age grouper Anthony Philippe grabbed the 50-54 title in Kona and thus defeated fellow French athlete Laurent Jalabert, who had beaten him in Nice at the 70.3 World Championships.

A memorable and challenging encounter with nature

The 2019 SwimRun NC was delayed by 30 minutes because of pending thunderstorms, but the sun came out and participants were treated to a challenging and memorable adventure. It was a great day for female and mixed teams, as the top 3 female teams were in places 5, 6 and 7 overall, and 6 mixed teams were among the top 15 overall, including 3rd place.
