A unique 6.7kg Open project
At the 2013 Eurobike show we spied this very sweet and crazy light Open O-1.0 with a funky prototype leaf blade suspension fork, and at 6.7kg just under the UCI road bike weight limit. The folks at Open call this one the LOLA Proto, and they also showed an even lighter bike with a solid fork at 6.4kg called the ORA LTD in a funky green color, but we really liked this suspended one.
The bike feels very light indeed and it is a big attention getter. We actually had to fend off other folks from interfering with our shoot.
The Lauf suspension fork is very unique but it is just a prototype right now.
