Leanda Cave’s Ventum

Brit Leanda Cave finished second at the 2015 Memorial Hermann Ironman Texas aboard this Mavic, CeramicSpeed, Pioneer and Shimano equipped Ventum race bike. Cave is a world champion over four different distances highlighted by her impressive 2012 wins at the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championships backed up a few weeks later with the Hawaiian Ironman victory. She struggled with injuries the following year but was back to her winning ways in 2014 and she has exploded out of the gates in 2015 with wins at Las Olas Triathlon and Cannes International and now that runner-up finish at IRONMAN Texas behind Angela Naeth.

The Ventum of Leanda Cave straight from TriBikeTransport on the way to the pro meeting in Texas and it has thus still missing the Look Keo Blade pedals. A requirement for getting the bike shipped with that company. Cave's boyfriend Diaa Nour who is one of the founders of Ventum helped us out here.

According to Ventum the fastest configuration includes the use of the hydration bladder secured snuggly along the wavy top tube.

Cave used a Mavic Comete disc for the race in Texas.

Horizontal dropouts, a Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 derailleur, and CeramicSpeed pulleys and bearings.

Cave went with the Mavic CXR 60 tubular front wheel for this race.

The brakes are hidden inside the fork of the Ventum.

Up close with the fork and the hidden brakes cover.

Some tape on the stem where Cave's computer sits and a magnet on the 3T aerobar extensions for easy access to her hydration unit.

The wiring here is pretty clean.

The top of the seat post looks like a Ritchey 1-bolt solution.

Cave races on an ISM Adamo Prologue saddle.

A 172.5mm Shimano Dura-Ace crank with 53-39 chainrings and a Pioneer power meter.

You can see here where the battery is mounted for the Pioneer power meter.

Diaa Nour with his curly locks and Cave as one of the tallest female pros on the circuit make this couple easily recognizable wherever they travel.
