The new Scott Addict CX
Scott introduced a very light new Addict CX bike recently and here are details of this cyclocross bikes with disc brakes and thru-axles wrapped around a sub 900 gram frame. The frame set itself apparently is in the 1,300 gram range and a complete bike thus would likely tickle that UCI weight limit rule. Cyclocross season is not yet on the horizon, but triathletes like Cody Beals and Sjaan Gerth like riding versatile bikes like this all year for training, and so could you.
Even from a good distance away there is little doubt that this bike comes from the house of Scott.
The mechanical and electronic compatible cables are routed neatly inside the frame keeping them thus away from dirt and grimes, and don't mess with the shoulder of an athlete carrying the bike.
The clearance front and back is very nice and allows up to 40mm tires.
The new Addict CX has thru-axles and will accept both 140 and 160mm rotors, and the new Shimano flat mount and the established post mount.
The bike featured here was set up with a SRAM Hydro group.
The cockpit on the Scott Addict CX is by Syncros, as are many other components.
SRAM Force does the shifting here and also the braking.
The SRAM 1x is very established both in cyclocross and mountain biking.
