2011 Cyclocross Nationals
Last weekend Jeremy Powers and Katie Compton stormed to the 2011 USA Cycling Cyclocross Championship titles and slowtwitcher Ali Engin took some amazing photos of the event held in Madison, Wisconsin.
It is very difficult walking away uninspired by these images. So go out, do a nice run and ride your bike today.

For those willing to slow down there was money to be had.
A battle of teammates.
It was very crowded in Madison, Wisconsin but not as busy as in Belgium. Lindsay Zucco, seen here, is usually racing triathlons.
There is no place to hide in cyclocross.
Shannon Gibson from Durango on the steep run-up.
Bailey Semian looks very focused.
Katie Compton took charge and rode away from the competition.
A smile for the photographer from Coryn Rivera who ended up 5th.
Did we mention that the crowd was enthusiastic?
Nicole Duke ushing hard in pursuit of Katie Compton.
The battle was very tight a bit further back.
Jeremy Powers was the man of the day.
No one had to be thirsty in the crowd.
There is no slowing down when the spectators are very vocal and passionate.
Desperately trying to catch a breath.
Ryan Trebon pushed the pace very hard all day.
Adam Myerson had also raced in the 40-44 event and finished 18th here.
A look back by Trebon to see how much of a gap he had created.
But the win went to Jeremy Powers.
Everyone loves a winner.
