2024 Slowtwitch / Good Life Brands Team Applications Open

Community is at the heart of most everything we do. It’s the basis of the civilized world and are the most important part of life. It’s what keeps us going when we can't find personal strength. It’s a give and take and everyone in the community does their best to share in those moments.

For the past twenty-plus years we here at Slowtwitch have been one of the largest communities in our sport. We are filled with passionate people that gather (mostly online) to engage with each other about our shared and sometimes non shared passions. These engagements and conversations run deep within the community. There’s over 11 million talking points just in our forum alone. We have thousands of articles with thousands of comments and feedback.

But I want more than just online engagement. I want personal. I want in-person communication. I want handshakes and consensual hugs (after all, some people just like personal space). 🙂 I want to see Slowtwitchers and I want to see them in person.

Expanding our Team

Backing up for a minute – we have actually had a team for a couple of years now. The long-running and mighty original big team, the Timex Team, then became the Suunto Team, and then switched to Team On Pace. Why all of those changes, you ask? In my opinion, a couple of things happened. First, the mega title sponsor was hard to come by. And second, COVID really put a damper on all of us. Yet a small group – think 5 or so of us – of like-minded athletes wanted to keep hanging out together. So we kept going with the Slowtwitch Media House Team. And over the last couple of years we have been doing just that: supporting each other and our long lasting relationships with our supportive industry partners. Small team, big platform: you’ve seen some of our team's adventures with articles and videos here on Slowtwitch.

And now we are expanding. Why? Simply, we want more. We want more conversations, we want more stories to tell and we want more community involvement.

Four options

We have four different racers on slowtwitch.com – and that means we want to be there for all of them.

–Triathletes
–Cyclists (Road and Gravel)
–Runners (Road and Traill)
–Those who do everything

That means we need to offer people four different options for kit orders – a tri suit, a cycling kit, a running outfit, or all of the above, respectively. We are also matching these different silos with different community leaders and in-person gatherings.

Sponsors and Partners

We are launching a new online shopping platform that will allow most of our sponsored products to be purchased via our new online shopping platform at some of the best discounts allowed. This will allow for our community to have a simple way to not only get some of the best gear but support the team as well. Discounts and login information will be given to team members only and it will allow us to make sure our team members are being taken care of the best we can.

Industry Partners

Some things can’t always be seamless but we can sure try our best. Mostly our industry partners are our bike partners. We will have the ability to help you get the best fit before you order and then we will make sure you are getting the best deal you can. We already have dedicated forum threads for some of these companies but we plan on opening this up to more and having more hands on deck to help with the process.

In-Person Gatherings

We plan on doing a lot of in-person gatherings in 2024. And thanks to our title sponsor, Good Life Brands, we will have lots of great food and good venues. We will have guest speakers, from industry experts to professional athletes. We’re all going to get together, sharing moments that will inspire and hopefully uplift our Multisport community.
