70.3 Worlds pre race – day 1
The 2011 Marines Ironman 70.3 World Championships are taking place in Las Vegas this year and the race promises to be very exciting. The actual event is on Sunday but we checked out the pre race activities at this venue and will bring you galleries each day.
Neither Michael Raelert nor Jodie Swallow will be at the start to defend their titles, but there are quite a few folks here ready and willing to take the title.

A good look at the swim venue here in Las Vegas.

Athletes were cruising all day between the expo and the swim tart area, which are about 12 miles apart.
