Cafe Velo Coffee and Bikes

Does your bike need work? Maybe you wouldn’t mind an afternoon coffee? If you live on the front range of Colorado, look no further than Cafe Velo in Colorado Springs.

The bike half of the business promotes themselves as the premier shop in Colorado Springs for serious roadies, triathletes, and cross country mountain bikers. The product range focuses primarily on mid-to-high end, with key lines including Cervelo, Specialized, and BMC. They have a full fit studio, and a staff trained in F.I.S.T., Specialized BG Fit, Retul, and BikeFit techniques and knowledge.

The café half seeks to offer the best cup in town, and sources from Ozo Coffee in Boulder, CO. In addition, they offer tea, smoothies, protein shakes, sandwiches, and even some gluten-free options.

Both halves work together with the motto to “Live Your Passion”. In their own words:

“In each aspect of our business we strive to deliver customer delight, and create a welcoming, approachable, non-imposing environment; kind of like your favorite neighborhood coffee shop. We strive to deliver quality and create a delightful environment in a responsible way – our cafe offers healthy (and delicious) drink and food choices that are unique and differentiated.

Our aim is to support the lifestyle of cyclists and triathletes, which is why we are creating the Cafe Velo Triathlon Club, with the mission of offering multiple training and education opportunities each week for our local athletes. Another key value for us is to act in an environmentally responsible way, from our re-claimed beetle-kill pine furniture, to the LED lighting, our large ceiling fan (which lowers our HVAC bills by 25%), and our Green-Circle bio parts cleaner.”
