At 1pm the flood gates opened and athletes brought bikes and gear into transition.
The flow of athletes was very steady all afternoon.
Seriously, are you really going to wear this helmet tomorrow?
There were quite a few spectators on hand plus there was a nice little party going on near the canal.
Alvaro Velazquez from Spain was the first Pro in transition.
Cam Brown was also reasonably early to check in his bike.
In addition to a few interviews there also was a bit of work left for Timo Bracht.
But the top three ranked Pros here all managed to get this over with soon.
Rachel Joyce signing autographs for these very eager young fans.
A very cool retro age grouper bike in transition.
There must have been at least 7 Erdinger Pro helmets in transition.
Mike Aigroz looked very relaxed and confident.
There were quite a few of these new BMC time machines at Challenge Roth.
Ain-Alar Juhanson mounted a camera on his bike to record his last long course race.
That custom paint job on Belinda Granger's Ceepo is very nice.
Fathers, husbands and boyfriends, watch out for Benjamin Sanson.
The race bike of age grouper Jürgen Zäck.
We don't think that age group relay athlete Thomas Hoffmann will compete like this on the bike segment, but he surely checked in his bike with baby attached.
Georg Potrebitsch is also known as Little Georg.
With most of the bikes checked-in a few minutes before 6pm, the heavens looked a bit ominous.
