CLASH Endurance Watkins Glen Set for Saturday
CLASH Endurance, previously known as ChallengeNorthAmerica, is designed to advance the sport with exceptional endurance sports event festivals at iconic speedways across the U.S. CLASH Endurance has four events in the U.S. in 2022 with growth planned for the years ahead.
This weekend, CLASH Endurance Watkins Glen will offer the second race of the 2022 season. It is located in the Finger Lakes region at the legendary Watkins Glen Formula One, Indy Car, and NASCAR race track. On July 9, a modest field will be chasing a $12,000 purse.
The professional men will be led by Jason West and Andrew Starykowicz, then Nicholas Chase and Taylor Reid. The professional women will be led by Haley Chura and Sophie Watts, Lesley Smith and Sarah Bishop, Rebecca and Laurel Wassner and Amanda Wendorff.
CLASH Daytona, previously known as Challenge Daytona, has been held for the past 4 years at world famous Daytona International Speedway. Last December 4, CLASH Daytona was host to an all-star field that included Kristian Blummenfelt, Magnus Ditlev, Rudy Von Berg, Andrew Starykowicz, Matt Hanson and Ben Kanute. Star women included Jodie Stimpson, Laura Siddall, Jackie Hering, Lucy Hall, Marjolaine Pierre, and India Lee.
This season, CLASH Miami, held in March at the famed Miami NASCAR track, opened the four-race CLASH season in March. Headliners included Sam Long, Jackson Laundry, Magnus Ditlev, Andrew Starykowicz, Tyler Butterfield, Chris Leiferman, and Andreas Dreitz. The women’s field was led by Emma Pallant-Browne, Sara Perez Sala, Ashleigh Gentle Pamella Oliveira, Chelsea Sodaro and Dede Griesbauer.
After CLASH Endurance races in March at the Homestead raceway in Miami and Watkins Glen this weekend, the next CLASH Endurance race event will be held at the famed Atlanta Motor Speedway on November 11-13. The season will conclude at the jewel in the crown – CLASH Daytona – on December 4.
