German power2max drops prices
A strong US dollar has now allowed German brand power2max to lower their pricing and thus bring more power to the people. Earlier this month we already reported that both Pioneer and Quarq had also announced a drop in pricing for their power meters.
According to the announcement by power2max, effective immediately prices for their power meters will be lowered by as much as 21%. For example the Type S without cranks for the Cannondale Hollowgram, Rotor 3D24, Rotor 3D30, 3D+ and Flow, Specialized S-Works and FACT, SRAM S950, Force22, and Rival22 will now be $899 instead of $1,079.
For a Type S power meter with cranks the offerings start at $899 with the FSA MegaExo and a Rotor 3D crank as pictured just above can be had for $1,079. That one set you back $1,299 before.
However it starts at an even lower price point for this fast growing German brand. The Classic version on FSA Gossamer cranks was $749 prior to this announcement and will now be a very low $599.
“We are happy to pass the benefit of a strong dollar on to our customers. At $599 the power2max Classic with FSA Gossamer cranks offers unseen value for money to our customers and will enable even more cyclists to ride with power meter. It’s truly professional quality at amateur prices,” said Nicolas Theopold, CEO of power2max North America.
The price drop of course also includes the MTB versions of this power meter.
