Guillaume, Tisseyre win Mt. Tremblant
Romain Guillaume of France and Magali Tisseyre of Canada won the men’s and women’s crowns at ironman 70.3 Mt. Tremblant Quebec, Canada Sunday.
Guillaume combined a 3rd-best 24:21 swim, a race-best 2:09:15 bike split that was 7:57 better than his next-fastest rival, and a race-best 1:20:54 run to finish in 3:58:08 with a 12 minutes 42 seconds margin of victory over runner-up Ryan Grant and 14:25 over 3rd-place Grant Burwash.
Tisseyre combined a 3rd-best 26:28 swim, race-best 2:26:31 bike split and a dominating 1:26:23 run to finish in 4:23:30 with a 15:11 margin of victory over runner-up and fellow Canadian Annie Gervais. Canadian Gillian Clayton was another 1:09 back in 3rd place.
