Hedgecock, Arthur win Du Nationals
Daniel Hedgecock and D’Ann Arthur were wire to wire winners of the USA Triathlon Duathlon Nationals held in conjunction with Powerman Alabama Saturday ay Oak Mountain State Park.
Hedgecock won the men’s title with a race best 10k run of 31:50 and second-best 5k of 17:12 that combined with third-best 1:01:02 40k bike brought him to the finish in 1:50:48 with a 56 seconds margin of victory over runner-up Matthew Russell.
Arthur combined race-best 36:35 first 10k, a 2nd-best 1:09:15 bike and a race-best 18:40 5k run to finish in 2:05:27 with a 28 seconds margin over runner-up Angela Axmann.
