Kona 2011 – Underpants Run
The weak and transparently flimsy rationale for the Underpants Run is to stop Euros from parading around Kona in their Speedos aka Banana Hammocks during Ironman week and insulting the fine and upstanding merchants of Kona.
However, the protest movement posing as a cure seems worse than the original problem and has been embraced by the same Euros as a fond cultural ritual.
Look at these photos and you be the judge.
For anyone hoping to read the captions, be reminded that words are superfluous in the face of such folly.
