Laura Philipp’s Excellent Speedmax

Last and certainly not least, we got the opportunity to take a look at Laura Philipp's well equipped Canyon Speedmax in advance of tomorrow's Challenge Roth. Philipp will hope to rocket away from the field on board her Speedmax. Let's take a deeper look.

The bike presents itself as extremely clean, even from a distance. Drivetrain wise, Philipp opts for an SRM power-meter crank, 170mm in length (one of the longer options in the women's field), with 55/42 chainrings mated to an 11/30 cassette.

There's no mistaking who's Speedmax this is.

It's an ERGON prototype saddle for Philipp to spend 112 miles aboard.

That saddle is also home to a relatively standard single bottle behind.

Looking further forward, you'll find a Crono CX aero bottle tucked neatly into the main triangle.

DT Swissside wheels and Schwalbe Pro One TT tires. These tires in particular seem to be gaining in popularity with professionals.
