Slowtwitch Retailer Database goes live
This past week Slowtwitch.com launched its new Retailer Database. Since the inception of this decade Slowtwitch has kept, and added to, reviews and overviews of the best bike shops in North America that a triathlete would want to patronize. What we did not have was a robust searchable archive to help our readers drill down to precisely what they wanted to see.
Slowtwitch now has those capabilities. Readers who point their web browsers here will find a comprehensive list of retailers, with a search feature asking the questions of greatest import to triathletes. This will help our readers find those shops that offer the precise set of goods and services they want.
Along with the searchable archive is a way for our nearly 19,000 registered Slowtwitch Forum users, and those 60,000 cookied readers who visit at least 50 times a month, and 100,000 cookied readers who visit at least 15 times per month, to rate these retail stores across a variety of categories. The current list of the top-10 rates shops in North America is here, but is likely to change over the next several days and weeks as more ratings are added.
Our new database also features a way for those customers loyal to their local bike shops to show solidarity by listing their stores as those at which they prefer to shop.
As of now, nearly 150 retailers across North America have profiles published. We expect to archive profiles belonging to 300 stores, perhaps as many as 400, by mid-Summer.
