Age grouper Leslie Sanderson from Ottawa was the second fastest age grouper at Ironman 70.3 Mont Tremblant – by 7 seconds. Now where were those 7 seconds lost? We checked in with this fast 46-year old.

Canadian police officer Andrew Armstrong won the M40-44 age group at Ironman 70.3 Mont Tremblant not really during the swim, bike or run, but in transition. Without the fast transitions he would have been third.
US Pro Champion Meredith Kessler was leading Ironman 70.3 Eagleman on the bike when she was struck by an oncoming age group athlete, crashed, was knocked out and sustained head trauma and other injuries.
Sam Betten is an upcoming young Aussie Pro who is racing 70.3 and 5i50 events. This 25-year old won the ITU Junior Aussie Champs twice but is now committed to non drafting racing and has Las Vegas and Hy-Vee on his mind.
James Chesson is a fast age grouper from New Jersey who finished 10th overall at 70.3 Eagleman, and won his age group at Rev3 Williamsburg. His Kona 2013 spot though he had already snagged at Ironman Texas.
