A Shimano Di2 Scott Plasma 5
Every Scott Plasma 5 we featured on our site was equipped with SRAM Red components, and folks have asked repeatedly about a Di2 edition. It is actually not offered as such, but Andres Douzoglou of the Beyond Aero cycling and triathlon store in Berkeley, California delivered with 2 builds he recently did.
Here is the Scott Plasma 5 with Shimano Ultegra Di2 components and Hed Black wheels. This one was built for a customer.
Yes, there is indeed Di2 electronic shifting on this bike. But it took a bit of work for Andres Douzoglou.
The Beyond Aero shop built up a second version, but made that one UCI legal and removed the front liquid storage and the bento box on the top tube. The UCI legal one ist still in the shop at Beyond Aero and can be finished to customer wishes.

Douzoglou said he had to notch a little half-circle off the stem cap to route the wires from the stem to where they meet up with the junction box.
On the UCI legal version the Di2 routing was also done to keep junction in the front. The flat stem however did not provide a good place to hide the e-tube wires, but for this build, having the junction in the front was more important.
Scott suggests placing the junction box underneath the saddle in their PDF Tech Manual. Douzoglou wanted a more accessible place that would allow for the rider to make adjustments if the shifting is off. He made a hole in the bento box and routed the wires into the Bento Box. Not much room is lost as a result. Will it rattle? It doesn't appear to be the case, but could be easily solved.
According to Douzoglou, the stock Shimano Direct Mount brake is pretty simple, and felt great.
Douzoglou added that the front end is pretty awesome and that the pieces fit well. There are lots of tight clearances, but all seem to work well. It's really simple to take off and put back on.
