The LG Gennix of Lionel Sanders

Canadian Lionel Sanders has secured many KPR points with his 4th place at Ironman 70.3 Worlds and his Ironman Florida win from 2014 – a race that did not feature a swim leg due to dangerous course conditions. Despite spending the winter training indoors on a Computrainer back home in Windsor, Canada, a recent training camp in Tucson, Arizona gave Sanders indicators his fitness was incredibly high. One of those tests was a record setting assault up the popular mountain climb, Mt. Lemmon, in which he outpaced the previous best time put up by Pro Tour cyclist Tom Danielson. So far this year Sanders placed 3rd place at Ironman 70.3 Oceanside and earned a win at Ironman 70.3 Texas in Galveston three weeks ago. Here now is the Louis Garneau Gennix TR1 he raced to 4th place yesterday at Ironman Texas.

The paint scheme of this Louis Garneau Gennix TR1 is distinctive but you don't exactly get what you see. here.

Sanders recently installed a new TorHans Aero30 hydration system.

The Ironman Texas course is mostly flat with some rolling hills through the Sam Houston National Forest so Sanders opted to go with a PRO disc wheel.

Sanders runs 25mm Vittoria Corsa CX tubulars on front and rear wheels despite not being sponsored by the tire company.

A Shimano Dura-Ace drive train with 55-42 gearing and Dura-Ace pedals.

After his Stages power meter got wet and malfunctioned in Galveston, Sanders wrapped the Ultegra crank arm [yes, Dura-Ace on the other side] with a latex glove and electric tape.

Not an illusion, his Dream Factory paint job is yellow on the drive side and green on the non drive side and matches the Canadians race kit.

An overhead shot of Sanders' PRO Missle bars reveals he likes the feel of Vision pads and has just enough room to secure his computer head unit.

A newly launched TorHans storage unit arrived just in time for race day and carried Sanders' nutrition.

Sanders slams his ISM Time Trial saddle forward on the rails to achieve an aggressive riding position.

The Canadian opted for a Shimano Dura-Ace C75 wheel in the front.

The integrated TRP brakes are stock on the Gennix TR1.
