Raelert, Van Vlerken in Kraichgau

Andreas Raelert ran down Sebastian Kienle late in the race to win the Challenge Kraichgau. Yvonne Van Vlerken battled Rachel Joyce but at the end had to hold off Julia Wagner to take the women’s title.

Cunnama, Dibens rule Rev3 Quassy

James Cunnama held off Terenzo Bozzone and Joe Gambles to take the win at Rev3 Quassy in 3:59:17. Julie Dibens established a huge lead on the bike and ran to the win in 4:23:37.

British domination in Madrid

Alistair Brownlee took a superb win at the Dextro Energy WCS race in Madrid and his younger brother Jonathan grabbed second place after a successful break on the bike. Javier Gomez finished third.

Argentina’s Eduardo Sturla took the win at the Ironman Brazil Florianopolis for the fourth time. Amy Marsh grabbed the win in the women’s race and that is her fourth Ironman title.

An angry Andrew Yoder blitzed the bike at the 2011 Columbia Triathlon in course record time and cruised to a comfortable win. Lindsey Jerdonek used a strong run to get away from Jasmine Oeinck to take the women’s title.

Ospaly, Thürig in Austria

Defending champion Filip Ospaly ran down Michael Weiss to take the 2011 Ironman 70.3 Austria St. Pölten. In the women’s race the podium was reversed from the previous year with Karin Thürig victorious this time.
